WHAT’S NEXT
Ongoing: The Small Particulars is out now!
My first poetry chapbook, The Small Particulars is available now! This collection of poems spans 10 years of writing in the margins — at odd hours, on scrap papers, when I was meant to be doing other work, in the shower. Like a handful of pebbles and shells collected from a beach, it’s an ode to the tiny moments that make up a life, and the portals they provide us to wonder, sorrow, longing and love. July 24-26, 2026: Actor at the JAW Festival, Portland Center Stage
A summer tradition for over two decades, JAW is a vibrant, community-powered celebration of new work, featuring staged readings, workshops, and performances from local musicians, dancers, and creators. I’ll be performing in 809 Almond, by Mylan Gray, and CESSAIR: The Birth of Ireland, by Holly Harmon and Lolly Ward. All JAW events are FREE and open to anyone!
July 26, 2026: Featured Spoken Word artist at ChatterPDX
Chatter performances occur weekly at 10:30am and give audiences the opportunity to hear a wide variety of classical chamber music and spoken word performed by local artists. Coffee and mingling with the audience and performers before and after the show is an essential part of the Chatter PDX experience! This week will feature works by Rebecca Clarke (Duo for Cello and Viola) and Anton Arensky (Quartet No. 2), along with my poetry offering.
Aug 20 -22, 2026: SIRENS, a workshop production in residence at Shaking the Tree Theatre
A love song beckons us below the surface. A warning throbs along the shore. The Priestess weaves and calls the waves in, one by one by one.
SIRENS, a new choral-theatrical work by Joellen Sweeney, evokes the sensuous life and precipitous loss of global coral reef ecosystems. Woven from harmony and memory, SIRENS offers a space to grieve ecological losses and to practice how to love without possessing.
